A job lead, a place to land in a new city, advice from somebody who has done it, a hand when a family needs one — that help moves through the community every day, across a hundred WhatsApp groups that cannot find each other. Community is one place to ask, and one place to answer.
Why it's last, and why it matters most
Every other programme here needs people who already trust each other. Connect needs mentors somebody can vouch for. Market needs growers willing to report a real price anonymously. The language work needs speakers who will correct a machine. None of that runs on strangers — and all of it runs on the same instinct as helping a stranger find a room in a new city, which Kodavas do already.
It is listed last because it is the one we are least ready to build responsibly, not because it matters least. A community platform for a small, tight-knit group lives or dies on active native-speaker moderation, and we would rather line that up before opening a door than after.
If you would moderate, that is the single most useful thing you can offer this project right now.

Ask, and be answered
Somebody moving to Pune for a first job. Somebody whose parent needs a hospital in Bangalore and does not know where to start. A student wanting to know what a degree is actually like. One room where asking is normal and answering is quick.
A hand when it matters
Kodava kootas and samajas already do this — a collection when a family is in trouble, somebody meeting a student at a station. What is missing is reach: the person who can help is often in another city and never hears.
Questions that deserve an elder
How is this ritual actually done? What is this word my grandmother used? Answered by people who know, kept where the next person can find it — which quietly turns a chat thread into a record.
Events and the calendar
Puthari, Kail Podh, Cauvery Sankramana, koota gatherings, festival streams for the ones who cannot get home. The diaspora's real complaint is finding out afterwards.

The open questions are moderation capacity, whether this lives inside arivāme or beside it, how it works with the kootas and samajas that already do this well in their own cities, and how it complements rather than duplicates kodavaclan.com. We would rather answer those than ship a forum that goes quiet in a month.
